ISRO launched India's first ever Private Rocket, Vikram S 

And begins a new “Prarambh” of the India's Space Sector with this launch

Vikram-Suborbital Rocket Launch 

On Friday, 18 November 2022, ISRO launched Vikram-Suborbital Rocket at 11.30 am from the spaceport in Andhra Pradesh, Sriharikota

This launch is the first ever Private Rocket launch taking place in India

Symbolising the beginning of new era of the Indian Space Sector with the mission named as “Prarambh”

Designed & developed by Skyroot Aerospace, an Indian Space-Tech startup based in Hyderabad

Named after the Father of India’s Space Programme, Vikram Sarabhai

It is the first rocket of Skyroot’s Vikram series of orbital class space launch vehicles

The most affordable rockets in these category, globally

A 6-metre tall single stage fuel rocket with a mass of 545 kgs and diameter of 0.375 meters

Developed by a team of 200-Engineers within a record time of two years

Vikram-S is a series of modular Space launch vehicles, crafted for the market of small satellites

Vikram S Rocket is capable to reach Mach 5, five times the speed of sound

During the launch it crossed the target of 80km above sea level & reached a peak altitude of 89.5km

The rocket carried three payloads built by

Chennai and Andhra Pradesh-based start-ups Space Kids and N Space Tech India

The other payload is built by the Armenian BazoomQ Space Research Lab

According to sources the rocket can carry a payload of 83 kg to 100 kilometers

What next in this mission of Vikram-S Rocket
