SPH Engineering has announced the release of UgCS 5.11, a major update to its mission planning software for professional drone operators. The update introduces UgCS Cloud for seamless flight plan sync, support for small DJI drones via Litchi, and multiple map overlay support for richer mission context.
Cloud Sync with DJI Pilot 2
UgCS Cloud allows users to sync flight plans from desktop to DJI remote controllers without cables or shared networks. Pilots simply log in to cloud.ugcs.com from both devices—routes appear instantly in DJI Pilot 2.
“This solves one of the biggest pain points for teams in the field,” said Kristaps Brass, UgCS Product Owner. “It’s instant, reliable, and removes the complexity of manual transfers.”
Small Drone Support via Litchi
UgCS now supports DJI Mini-series and other small drones (Mini 4 Pro, Mini 3 Pro, Air 2S, Spark, and more) via integration with Litchi. Users can export missions from UgCS and execute them using the Litchi mobile app, expanding mission capabilities to affordable, lightweight UAVs.
Multiple Map Overlays
UgCS 5.11 also introduces support for multiple simultaneous map overlays, allowing planners to visualize infrastructure lines, hazards, and reference data in one interface—ideal for complex or regulated environments.
