Grupo Oesía has presented its results for the year 2022 with record figures for the company. With a strategy based on hyper-specialization, investment in disruptive technologies and the acquisition of leading technology companies, the Group has managed to record record business figures, among which the following stand out:
- Sales worth 244 million euros (+44% Vs 2021)
- Net income of 183 million euros (+16% Vs 2021)
- Positive EBITDA of 19.6 million euros (+37% Vs 2021)
- Backlog of more than 850 million euros.
Grupo Oesía, which in recent years has become one of the benchmark technology providers for leading national and international companies in the defense, aeronautics, space, banking and insurance, telecommunications, industry and public administration sectors, among others, expects that in the coming years these results will maintain an upward trend due to the growing and unstoppable need for digitization in all sectors, as well as the change of cycle in the Defense and Security industry, which is currently experiencing a scenario of expansive budgets.
The company has expanded and diversified its portfolio of solutions and products over the last year with a strategy marked by hyper-specialization through five brands:
- Oesía Networks , focused on digital transformation .
- Tecnobit-Grupo Oesía: provides technology to the global defense sector in the fields of intelligent vision, tactical and secure communications, or simulation
- Cipherbit-Grupo Oesía: dedicated to cybersecurity and encrypted communications.
- UAV Navigation–Oesía Group: specialist in guidance, navigation and control systems for unmanned vehicles, integrated into the group in 2021
- Inster-Grupo Oesía: specialist in state – of -the-art satellite communications , also incorporated in 2022.

For his part, Sergio Chamizo, Financial Director of Grupo Oesía, wanted to highlight: “In 2022, we have not only reached a historical sales record, with 244 million euros, we have also achieved a balanced breakdown between the income of the industrial part (defence), which has represented 42%, and the digital part (civil) which has accounted for 58% of our income. In addition, 60% of the sales of the industrial area correspond to exports.”
The company, which as of December 31, 2022 has a global workforce of 3,400 professionals, of which nearly 3,000 are in Spain, has also wanted to highlight the fundamental role of Cipherbit-Grupo Oesía in achieving the results of 2022 “As part of the Group’s specialization strategy, in 2022 we launched Cipherbit, the first Spanish company specifically dedicated to cybersecurity and secure communications certified by the National Cryptographic Center and NATO”, highlighted Luis Furnells. “His contribution to the results and growth of the company has been key and we hope that his relevance in the market will be consolidated in the coming years,” he concluded.
Lastly, the company has confirmed that throughout 2023 it will formalize the acquisition of another company specialized in cutting-edge technologies, DAS Photonics . This Spanish company based in Valencia provides solutions for space communications based on photonic technology . Its incorporation into Oesía will mean another step in the Group’s commitment to emerging technologies that add value in high-potential market niches and will help complement the company’s portfolio of solutions and services .
