The Satcoms Innovation Group (SIG) has opened the nominations for the second annual SIG awards.
The awards were created last year to celebrate the impressive contributions SIG members, individuals, and educational institutions have made to help the satellite communications industry. SIG members are invited to cast their nominations now, in the categories of Innovation of the Year, Cooperation of the Year, Educational Project of the Year and Young Engineer of the Year.
SIG is an open forum which promotes innovation to improve operational efficiency and reduce impact, saving time and money. The SIG awards are a way of showcasing the incredible work in the industry over the past challenging 12 months. Previous winners include QuadSAT, ESA, Te Pūnaha Ātea Auckland Space Institute and Shaftesbury School Student James Pester.

As an established organisation, SIG aims to increase efficiency, enable global cooperation and promote the most innovative thinking to address challenges surrounding the industry. By fostering relationships between all stakeholders, SIG aims to preserve satellite as a leading form of connectivity.
