SkyBitz Kuantum Trailer Telematics solution won 2023 Top Product Award from Heavy Duty Trucking Magazine

Embedded cargo sensor and expanded features help fleets maximize asset utilization

SkyBitz has received a 2023 Top 20 Products Award by Heavy Duty Trucking Magazine for the SkyBitz Kuantum Trailer Telematics solution.

The award, announced on Feb. 15, recognizes new and significantly improved products for innovation; for addressing important industry issues; and for having the potential to improve a fleet’s bottom line.

The HDT award does not have a nomination process. It is based on new and significantly improved products the publication reported on in 2022. HDT editors chose products that stood out in the three areas mentioned above, and used input from a panel of fleet executives to make a final decision.

We are proud of this industry award recognizing SkyBitz Kuantum as an innovative next-generation trailer and container telematics solution,” said Henry Popplewell, Division Vice President of SkyBitz. “The solar-powered, fully integrated Kuantum device is purpose-built to deliver real-time information and insights that help fleets turn trailers faster to maximize revenue, cost savings, and driver satisfaction.”

Kuantum Trailer Telematics solution

SkyBitz Kuantum combines next-generation trailer telematics with ultrasonic cargo monitoring on a single device that easily installs on the front of trailers. The solar-powered device uses a state-of-the-art power management system to reliably deliver high-frequency, event-driven reporting of trailer locations and empty/loaded status.

Kuantum can be expanded by connecting via Bluetooth to an ecosystem of smart sensors compatible with the SkyBitz SmartTrailer platform. The ruggedized solution is compact and engineered to deliver maintenance-free service for the life of a trailer.

With SkyBitz Kuantum, truckload fleets can improve asset utilization, automate trailer inventory yard checks, and efficiently dispatch drivers with visibility of trailer status. Fleets can also more accurately monitor dwell and detention events supplemented by the accurate and ultra-reliable cargo sensor.
