The Space Data Association has appointed Erika Rossetto and Tobias Nassif as Standard Member Directors. Rossetto is Team Leader of Flight Dynamics at Embratel StarOne and Nassif is responsible for Viasat’s Satellite Control Center.

Rossetto and Nassif succeed Lorenzo Arona of Avanti and Brian Swinburne of Airbus.

Rossetto has extensive knowledge within flight dynamics and has led Embratel StarOne’s Flight Dynamics team for over 10 years.

Viasat’s Nassif brings over 25 years of experience within satellite operations management, including the deployment and management of mission critical support systems.

The Space Data Association (SDA) is an international organization that brings together satellite operators to support the controlled, reliable, and efficient sharing of data critical to the safety and integrity of the space environment.

I’m pleased to return as a Board Member Director of the SDA. I’m looking forward to helping the SDA drive forward its objectives for safer space operations”, commented Erika Rossetto. “The complexity of the in-orbit environment is increasing and I’m keen to support the SDA in continuing to deliver a robust data-sharing platform.”

The SDA provides a valuable data sharing resource for improving flight safety and mitigating risks within orbit. I am excited to return as an SDA Director as I look forward to highlighting the SDA’s vision within the space environment and supporting the ongoing success of the SDA’s Space Data Center (SDC)”, said Tobias Nassif.

Pascal Wauthier of SES continues to serve as Chairman of the SDA. He added: “Erika and Toby bring a wealth of technical understanding. They have both been instrumental in the group’s success in the past. I look forward to their valuable contributions. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Brian and Lorenzo for all their support over recent years. They both continue as members and I am sure will provide valuable input in that capacity.”
